Letter from CEF Chairman
Dear
Friends & Supporters:
On behalf of the Citizenship Education
Fund (CEF), I thank you for your continued support. Since
its founding in 1984, CEF has worked to enhance the lives of millions
of Americans across the country through effective ad relevant research
and education. CEF is a non-partisan charitable research
and education (501 (C) 3) organization. The mission of CEF is to
work for those who are disconnected from the routine processes
of government and corporate America, expanding upon our founding
democratic principles by promoting civic virtue, electoral participation,
and economic empowerment. CEF accomplishes its mission through
education and research on a variety of issues affecting daily lives
of disenfranchised Americans and their communities.
Data is collected
and disseminated by CEF focuses on a variety of public policy issues
in an effort to ensure equal opportunity for the country’s
underserved consumers, employees and entrepreneurs.
For nearly
ten years, CEF has worked annually to identify best practices in
the area of corporate inclusion. CEF through its annual survey
tracks diverse employment and procurement initiatives of Fortune
500 and 1000 corporations. CEF remains an advocate for promoting
intra-trade relationships among diverse businesses.
CEF works to
increase voter participation by conducting voter registration education
tours across the United States, in an effort to inspire potential
voters to improve their civic literacy.
CEF helps young people
realize their full potential by sponsoring college scholarships,
mentoring programs and enrichment activities such as annual college
tour and oratorical contests.
