Veronica Black, Regional Field Director - One Thousand Churches

Veronica BlackVeronica Black is the Northeast Region Field Director for the Rainbow/PUSH – One Thousand Churches Connected program and works out of the Wall Street Project office in New York City.  As a Region Field Director, Ms. Black recruits and liaisons with churches from Boston to Washington, D.C. to implement and enhance the financial education ministry in member churches, businesses and community organizations through One Thousand Churches Connected framework, resources and curriculum.

Ms. Black works closely with Pastors and their financial ministers to ensure that congregants, particularly in underserved communities, are provided with the basic tools and educational opportunities to move from the bondage of consumer debt to a position of stability, growth, wealth, prosperity and overall economic empowerment through homeownership, savings and investments and asset protection.  As Region Field Director, Ms. Black also develops advocacy/mobilization events and works closely with community, city and state advocates and representatives.

Before joining Rainbow/PUSH Ms. Black was the director of a Christian Bed and Breakfast in Kingstown, Rhode Island.  Prior to this, she was an Account Manager for a prominent food and beverage manufacturing organization where she successfully managed several multi-million dollar chain accounts.  Ms. Black co-founded and was director of an organization dedicated to promoting corporate prayer among Christians and was the Editor-In-Chief of its quarterly newsletter The Mustard Seed. 

Ms. Black holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz.  She is active in her Brooklyn, New York community, social and civic organizations and her church where she heads one of its hospitality ministries.
